KATRIN OSMIALOWSKI Co-Producer

  Documenting and visualizing life, unscripted, has been Katrin’s passion from very early on and is what led her to Moriah Films. She joined the team in 2006 for the production of I Have Never Forgotten You: The Life and Legacy of Simon Wiesenthal narrated by Nicole Kidman, which celebrated its international premiere in Katrin’s hometown at the Berlin International Film Festival in Germany. Since then she has co-produced the documentary features Against The Tide, Winston Churchill: Walking With Destiny, It Is No Dream, The Prime Ministers: The Pioneers and now The Prime Ministers: Soldiers and Peacemakers. As Moriah’s Co-Producer, Katrin heads the production and archival research departments, overseeing each film from concept to completion. She directs the production team, produces film shoots stateside, in Europe and in Israel, conducts interviews, researches historical topics and licenses archival material. Using her unique knowledge of European cultures and languages (German, French, Spanish, Dutch), extensive journalistic experience, and excellent relationships with film and photo archives worldwide, she is in constant pursuit of the extraordinary and never-before-seen archival material and revealing interviews that are the hallmarks of Moriah Film’s productions. Katrin holds a PhD in Psychology from Technische Universitaet, Berlin, and began her career as a psychologist in Germany and Central America (El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua). She went on to work as a journalist and television/film producer for international stations, channels and production companies such as Universal Television, Telepictures, SAT.1 and RTL. She worked as a consultant for new programming, produced news pieces, documentary-based short films and nationally syndicated game and talk shows in Germany and the U.S., as well as high profile red carpet, film festival and film market events for German Films Service + Marketing. Katrin lives in Silverlake, Los Angeles, with her husband, Co-Producer and Editor Nimrod Erez, and their daughter Ella.
